Healthy Diet
Everyone knows that a healthy diet is one way to help prevent diseases.
Healthy eating involves a variety of food from the basic food. It sounds so simple, but not always to get the nutrition food you need.
You always eat more and more of your favorite foods from only one food group. Food groups: dairy; grains such as bread and pasta; meat and meat substitutes etc. Some times you opt for convenience over when you are hungry.
Healthy diet requires some planning and some purpose to include a variety of food in your meal. If you observe yourself that what you are eating, you might find that you’re not getting the complete nutrients in your diet.
It is important to pay attention that what you are eating and also in food groups. It helps you in finding out those nutrients which you are not getting. For this you can keep a food diary in which you write everything you eat and drink.
Check that you are eating a variety of food from each of the food groups. For e.g. If you eat vegetables and fruits, may be you don’t get enough vitamin C or potassium. A few changes can help that you are eating a variety of healthy foods or not.
When you are aware of healthy food then you can make slight changes in your diet, if you are not getting all the nutrients. For e.g. adding yoghurt can meet your milk servings.
A healthy diet is one of the life’s greatest pleasure. All the food, if you eat in moderation, can be a part of healthy diet. Eat smaller servings or look for healthy substitutes. Eat a wide variety of food, especially high in nutrients, fruits, whole grain, vegetables, nuts, lean meats etc.
